"Development" -being defined as the enhancment of
capabilties and achieving amore desired status-correspons with the idea
of "pure life"(hayate tayyebe) in Islamic tradition pure life has been
illustrated as a desired point of satisfaction and prosperity on the one
hand and solution and guidance on the other hand hence,those western
implication of development wich run counter to the fundamentals of islam
are refuted,while a majority of cornerstones of development are
accepted. "pure life" as the substitude fore "development"has its basis
in Quran and on the same basis is composed of two elements of'faith"
and'good deed' .these two elements in an evolutionary interaction lead
to the qualitative improvement of level of desirability in pure life.
To analyze the pure life on the basis of human
sociallife,the concept of Islamic government is raised.Islamic
government has illustrated the musts and must-nots of Quran and Islamic
tradition(sorreh) in 3 of economic,political and socioal-cultural
systems to give a functional definition of pure life.the constitutional
law of Islamic republic of Iran has been exploited as an example for
Islamic government.
As a result of the argument conducted among the
constitutional law,Islamic government 8 the idea of "development",it is
concluded that the constitional law is in acceptable accordance with
Islamic government and to a considerable degree,with pure life.
Nevertheless its non-realazation has caused many
problems for the Islamic government.
To arrive at a clear-cut definition of the pure life
and to verify its realizability,some hypothetical models have been
designed on the basis of religious teachings.
Fillowing the analysis of the potentials of the
models and the barriers that hinder their realization ,the complicated
dimensions of divine life emerge. The 3 models which have been designed
for the realization of the Islamic version of development are: the
gradient evolution model,the revolutionary model and the semi:-perimeter
model/shining points model. A full investigation of advantages and
disadvantages of these modeles will clarify the theoretic basis of this
social change considering the centrality of Quran as the source of
meaning of qualitative and quantitative improvement of Islamic
society,the shining of Quranic verses is quite visible in different
levels of illustration and generation of pure life.
It can be concluded that adopting and practicing an
inseperable set of musts and must-nots -in both principle and
practice-is the only vay of prosperity for the Islamic society.
