Abstract:

Political trust is a mental mode that is base on which a person will feel cooperation, compromise with other people in their civil life; and indicate a person deep belief  that other people and social groups will help him in his political life. In the most general explanation the political trust includes the following components: trust toward managers and governmental agents, trust of government to opinions of citizens, trust of citizens to sovereignty of law, trust to rules of game (all accepted rules on behalf of political rivals in the field of politics and competition), trust to political rivals, trust to political institutions and trust of citizens to outstanding  people. In this dissertation political trust has been used as means of limiting trust to political institutions, trust to managers, governmental agents and trust to sovereignty of law. The theories of political trust can be divided into two groups including cultural and political that each has a  micro and a  macro aspect. In this research the micro aspect of  each of the aforesaid theories has been tested so that it will clarify which of these theories can better explain the political trust. Also in this research the relation between religiousness and the  political trust has been studied. to answer  these questions 3 specific hypothesis have been planned that are:

1- Hypothesis  related to micro cultural theory: people accept society who trust sensation is stronger in them, and show more trust to political institution

-2Hypothesis  related to micro institution theory: the better the understanding of people from a political institution, the higher their trust to that institution

-3Hypothesis  related to the effect of religiousness on political trust: those who are more religious their political trust is higher

For testing these theories, a survey in a statistical sample with 386 people that belong to statistical society of students of Tehran University was conducted. Results of this research showed that theories for micro institution political trust with Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.75 and Spirman coefficient of 0.74 have got more explanation strength in comparison to micro institution political trust with Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.35 and Spirman coefficient of 0.30; also our theory in relation to religiousness and political trust have been certified. This relation has been certified with Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.43 and Spirman coefficient of 0.45
