This research tends to find answers for the following question: what are the bases of political crisis management model in the method of Imam Khomeini? To reply to this question the most important original attitudes and current models of crisis management are listed then Imam Khomeini  s model of political crisis  management is selected. After analyzing the Islamic Revolution Leader  s intellectual and value principles / his main political management model is discussed as the basis of his political crisis management.

The author studies the American Embassy  s (Espionage nest) hostages crisis as one of the most critical events in the post- revolutionary era and thus examines Imam Khomeini  s basic elements of crisis management model including planning/ organizing/ decision- making / leadership and supervising in three different stages: before/ during and after crisis. What makes Imam  s model of crisis management distinct from others is his intellectual/ scientific and value principles that are rooted in Islam.
