The late Ayatolah Boroojerdi came to the leadership
of the Shiite in a turbulent era. As a gifted Sheik (Marja) he followed
some internal and international objectives:
1- Defending properly from any aspects of
religion, he dedicated himself to train efficient scholars. Furthermore
he was thoroughly aware of the situation of his time.
2- The late Boroojerdi tried hard to revitalize
the Shiite heritage. He also was eager to introduce some of these
sources to the Sunni.
3- He tried hard to protect the dignity of the
clergy and to prevent any offenses.
4- He was well-alerted in politics but if
necessary consistent as well. The late Boroojerdi was reluctant to
publicize these matters. He also did not allow radical or unreasonable
actions.
The late Boroojerdi has reformist tendencies and did
his best to improve the system of religious training (Hoze). He also
tried hard to introduce Shia to other parts of the world. His initiative
in sending religious missions to other continents was unique and
revolutionary.
