Art is the realm of feelings and passion and politics is the realm of rationality and power But there a periods of times when these two realms cross each other. some times art, critisizes power and other times, power uses the art as a means of obtaining its objects And in this way the political art, with two contradictory branches, is created, In this way the political art, with two contradictory branches, is created, the art which critisize the power and the art which supports it.

Among different kinds of art, Iranians are interested in literature and among various literary genres they are interested in poetry. Wishes, hopes and history of this nation has been embodied in their poems. During 37 years of nohammad reza puhlav' s kingdom, the poets were concerned with politics. In some historical situations, the poets declared their opinios very frankly but in other situation vecause of dictatorship and ensership they had to declare their ideas in the forms of simile, metaphor and irony.

In the first decade of second pahlav's rein, the presence of Allied Forces in Iran, ladk of social offairs and Red Armi' s support of leftis groups, led to the development of Marxist thoughts and the advent of leftist poets. The 1330' s began with Nationalizing Movement of petrolium Industries, but defeat of this Movement hurt the patriotic feelings of Iranian people. The important incidents and events of this movement appeared in the poems of many as Akpavan sales. The trend of political events led to the rising of people on 15th khordad. Again the political aspects of this revolt showed the political role of Islam in Iran. And many poets reflected the Islamic thought in their poetry. In contrast with these three political- literary eurents againt the status quo, there were oher oher poets who becuse of different reasons and motivation, created poems in praise of pahlavi' s family and their measuries. These four literary currences were representatives of intellectual - political currents in the same era.
