During the last two decades, as a result of the
developments in technology, market globalization, and new conditions in
political economy, managers have witnessed a period of great global
changes. Today companies should increase their competitive potential and
profitability by functioning in line with cost reduction, and offering
products with reasonable prices as desired by customers.
Lean supply chain approach identifies the importance
of decreasing the changes, improving the current situation and finally
decreasing the need to supply and capacity of trust (reliability). In
fact it can be said that the above mentioned approach focuses on the
internal processes of the supply chain in accordance with creation of
potentiality and thus it dose not stress on the effective environmental
indices that affect the direction of competitiveness. It should be
mentioned that this approach will be analyzed in a serious competitive
atmosphere and its variables will be studied with regard to the
competitiveness of an origination or industry compared to its
competitors.
