IMAM SADIQ UNIVERSITY
In The Name of The Most High
Imam Sadiq University (ISU) is the
outcome of a divine intention and significant endeavor of a number
of distinguished people and men of thought from both religious
seminaries and universities. This academic center is on the way to
diffuse the Islamic knowledge, culture and thoughts on a variety of
educational and research grounds.
ISU is headed by his Excellency
Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani, a prominent theologian and a pious scholar
under whose presidency the staff and the students of this center
enjoy the very blessings and his benevolence.
ISU does not run on governmental
subsidies. It is financed by the fund of Jame-at-al Imam Sadiq and
the donation of the benefactors.
In ISU, faith and moral eligibilities
of the students are considered prior to their scientific
competencies. Religious and spiritual values stand high and function
as the basic prerequisite for any applicant joining this center and
thus spiritual and religious atmosphere characterize the campus of
ISU.
ISU has been founded in 1983 on the
basis of the holy motto of the interaction between religious
seminaries and the academic education. ISU in principle is to pave a
new way towards teaching humanities. ISU is a compact institution
for higher education, specialized in human and social sciences.
This university is well known for its
high standards in education and scientific research. In nationwide
yearly rankings, ISU has already, taken a top-position for many
years. The compact campus layout offers many opportunities to meet
the faculty and students needs all day. Out of student population,
some of them are international students who are looking for
inspiration and intellectual challenge to participate in the
scientific and social life of ISU.
To many educators in higher education
the combination of the Islamic Studies and Management or the Islamic
Studies and Law, for example, into one discipline is of high
credibility and efficiency in the field of humanities. ISU presents
and introduces a remarkable pattern in the higher studies in Iran
and accounts for a new experience in education as well.
In ISU, teaching and learning languages
are of great importance. Successful admission of M.A graduates of
the ISU in PhD courses in renowned universities within and outside
the country stands as true evidence for any judgment in this
respect.
However, Ph.D. courses in the fields of
Economics, Culture & Communication, Theology, Political Sciences and
Law are on the run and more courses there will be in ISU in near

communication and education such as internet, TV satellite
receivers, audio – visual means for recording and playing back,
language laboratories, computer workshops, and campus amenities like
